Doris Helen Morrow Tanner was born September 21 ^st , 1932, in the Big Sinking community of Wayne county to the late Ulysses Edwin and Dorothy Roberts Morrow and passed away Friday April 9 ^th , 2021 at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana reaching the age of 88 years.

She is survived by two sisters; Linda (Larry) Dalton and Carolyn (the late) Larry Cochran, three nieces; Peggy Dick (Thomas) Carroll, Paula Dalton (Kenneth "Kemo") Criswell, and Gina Tucker (Leo) Sampson, and three nephews; Emerson, Jr. (Thomasine) Dick, Allen (Rebecca) Denney, and Gordon (Tina) Dalton,  three great-nieces; Elizabeth Carroll (Derek) Miller, Baylee Dalton, and Macy Dalton ( Blake) Eggimann, and six great-nephews; Stephen (Katie) Criswell, Noah Samson, Jonathan (Marcia) Dick, Matthew Dick, Jason Denney, and Joshua  (Lynsey) Denney.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her former husband William Tanner and two sisters Joyce (Schuyler, Jr.) Denney and Imogene (Emerson, Sr.) Dick.

Helen attended the Messiah Lutheran Church in Evansville, Indiana.

The family will receive friends on Monday April 19 ^th , 2021 at 12:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday April 19 ^th at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ed Norris officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Big Sinking Baptist Church or the Linda E. Hospice House of Evansville, Indiana.
