Henry Earl Atkinson was born December 13, 1946, and departed this life Thursday, March 20, 2025, reaching the age of 78 years. He was the son of the late Henry Hamilton Atkinson and Beatrice Earl (Hicks) Atkinson.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Atkinson; Son: Shannon Atkinson ( Renea); Daughters: Robin Cook, Teresa Brammer and Alisha Weaver (Shane); Grandchildren: Bethany Canada (Joshua), Ashley Buswell (Shaun), Courtney Lowe (Rodney), Carey Baker (Tristan), Jarrad Coffey (Kristine), Ridge Hancock (Hannah), Riley Hancock, Amber Decker, Auburn Hensley and Austin Decker; Siblings: Donna Shelton, Olene Morgan, Minford Atkinson and Wanda Lee Atkinson. He is also survived by 25 Great-Grandchildren and host of family and friends that mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents Henry and Beatrice Atkinson, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Dorothy Atkinson, Ruth Ann Wilson, Betty Crabtree, Alva Pendleton, Lavon Morrow and Jack Atkinson.

He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Buck Cemetery.
