'Herbert Piercy was born, in the Slickford community of Wayne County, September 20, 1932 the son of the late Pascal \u0027Snood\u0027 and Bertha Hancock Piercy. He departed this life Friday, December 13, 2013 at his home reaching an age of 81 years.

He was united in marriage with Gather Stinson Piercy who passed away in 1970. He later united in marriage with Wanda Lee Riddle Piercy who passed away in 2006.

Surviving are his children: Carolyn Perdue, Charlotte Rose, Arvie, Arlie and Gary Piercy; stepchildren: Sula Mink, Bobby and Calvin Sexton and a special friend: Louise Lashley.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and 1 step great grandchild; his brother: Hearvie Piercy with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He is preceded in death by his step daughter: Delia Simpson; siblings: Veola Dishman, Lula Piercy, Dolly Burchett and Edward Piercy and several infant siblings.

Herbert had accepted Christ as his Savior and was attending the Jesus Lighthouse Church.
