'Hilda Alie Hurt Simpson, was born January 12, 1934 in the Mt. Pisgah community of Wayne County the daughter of the late Henry and Alma Davenport Hurt. She departed this life Saturday afternoon at the Wayne County Hospital reaching an age of 83 years.

She was united in marriage with her husband of 65 years, Keith Simpson Jr. To this union three children survive: Roger Le and his wife Shirley Simpson, Marilyn Holt and John David and wife Lynn Simpson.

Also surviving are three grandchildren: John Dillion, Joshua David and Cameron Keith Simpson and siblings: Edna Blevins, Gladys Winchester, Katherine Troxell and Claude Hurt with many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Michael Holt and brother, Wallace Hurt.

Mrs Simpson worked for 34 years at Monticello Manufacturing. As a young lady she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a lifetime member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
