'Ila Smith Jones, age 86 was born in Wayne County May 28, 1927 the daughter of the late Dewey ad Flora Jane Carter Smith. She departed this life, Tuesday evening at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was united in marriage with Cleo Jones who passed away February 6, 1965. To this union two daughters survive: Janette Louise and her husband Curtis Gilliland Jr and Julia Helen and husband Larry Childress all of Somerset. Her daughter, Rosa Lee Jones precedes her in death.

Also surviving is her brother: Kenneth and wife Betty Smith, sister-in-law: Lillian Smith, grandchildren: Dewayne Childress, Kyle Childress and Nicole McNeill, great grandchildren: Tori, Sarah, Kati and Kali, Erin, Zane and Austin.

She is preceded in death by her grandson: Tommy who passed away in 2008 and her siblings: Reva Self, Vela Stephenson, Mavel Denney, Melvin and Niles Smith.

Mrs. Jones had accepted Christ as her Lord and was a member of the Sandusky Chapel Baptist Church.
