'Ina Smith Criswell, age 71 was born in the Oil Valley Community of Wayne County, October 28th, 1935 the daughter of the late Wonzie and Eva Taylor Smith. She lost her twelve year battle with cancer Tuesday, November 27th at her home on the Criswell Hollow Road.

On November 1, 1952 she united in marriage with Herman Criswell, who survives. To this 55 year union two daughters survive; Sandra Dobbs and Shirley Thompson.

Surviving are three grandchildren; Billy Reed Thompson, Kimberly Dishman, Michael Dobbs; two step grandchildren, Jonathan and Derick Dobbs; four great-grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Dylan and Brandi; three step great-grandchildren, Jessica, Shaylie and Andreona.

Also surviving are four sisters, Wanda Marcum, Delma Chriswell, Joyce Dobbs, Elma Jones and a brother, Hershel Smith, with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Her brother, Elward Smith and two infant siblings precedes her in death.

Ina had accepted Christ as her Savior and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
