Ivory Adkins was born November 30, 1938 and departed this life Monday, September 14, 2020 reaching the age of 81 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Clarence and Lueverna (Coffey) Hardwick.

She married Collins Adkins and to this union 3 children were born.

She is survived by: 1 daughter, Carolyn (Billy) Dobbs; 2 sons, Billy (Sue) Adkins and James Adkins; 2 brothers, Troy Hardwick and Boyd Hardwick; 1 sister, Clorie Slagle; 8 grandchildren, Jimmy and Jason Adkins, Martha Upchurch, Jaquilla Adkins, Jaclyn Turner, Priscilla Minerd, Caleb Dobbs and Hannah Ryan; 11 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Edner Hardwick and Bronnie Hardwick.

Ivory was a member of the Steubenville Baptist Church for many years.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2020 between 1pm – 3pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 3pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
