'James Everett Catron Sr. was born July 10, 1926 in the Powersburg community of Wayne County, the son of the late John and Lola Cook Catron. He departed this life, Thursday, October 3rd at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital reaching an age of 93 years.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Jean Alene Atkinson Catron; his daughter, Linda Cairns who passed away October 4, 2010 and son, Everett Catron Jr who passed away May 20, 2012.
Surviving is his sons: Jerry Catron, Gerald and wife Donna Catron, Ronnie and wife Misty Sexton; sisters: Alene Jenkins and Dicie Stinson; his daughter-in-law, Beverly Catron and son-in-law, Larry Cairns.
Also proceeding him in death is his sisters: Evalene Catron, Ida Guffey and Luda Bell and brothers: Jake, Edgar, Walter and Estill Catron.
Everett was retired from the Monticello Utility Commission. He served his country with honor in the Asian Theater of Battle during the Second World War and was a member of the Highway Holiness Church.',
