'James Herbert Daniels was born, March 10, 1939 the son of the late Less and Myrtie Bell Watson Daniels. He passed away Wednesday evening March 27th in the Emergency Room of the Wayne County Hospital reaching an age of 80 years.
He was united in marriage with his wife, Lela Parmley Daniels and to this union two children survive: Bro. Jim Daniels and his wife Vicki and Liz and her husband Scott McClain.
Also surviving are his grandchildren: Montana Pedicord, Leslie Daniels and Hunter Daniels and his sister, Anna Ruth Keeton.
Herb was employed by the Wayne County Board of Education where he served as Superintendent. Upon retirement he operated his own insurance agency and farmed. He was a member of Monticello Lodge #431 for over 50 years a member of the Monticello Gideon Camp and had held leadership positions in many civic organizations. He had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.',
