'James Dillard Burke, age 80 was born October 27th, 1930 in the Kidd-s Crossing community of Wayne County, the son of the late Hobert and Hattie Marie Kidd Burke. He departed this life, Monday morning, March 14, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.On October 17, 1952 he united in marriage with his wife of 58 years, Bonnie Louise Bell Burke, who survives. To this union three daughters survive; Patricia and her husband Bill Burnham; Kathie Wells and Janet and her husband Kirk Schwabe.Also surviving are Dillard-s grandchildren; Matthew Tuggle and his wife Cassia and William James Burnham; Tara and Taylor Wells; Amanda and Sarah Schwabe: Two brothers, Willard and Willis Burke and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.He is preceded in death by his sisters, Yvonne McCullough and Josephine Roberts and brothers, Wendell and Vernal Burke.As a young man Dillard accepted Christ as his Savior and was a lifelong member of the Concord Baptist Church.
