James A. Lovett, formerly of Monticello, Kentucky was born July 29 ^th ,1932 and departed this life Sunday, May 22, at Riverside Nursing and Rehab in Calhoun, Kentucky, reaching the age of 89 years. He was the son of the late Arnold Oren and Rebecca Josephine Ball Lovett.

He is survived by one son; Deshawn Lovett, one niece; Karen Kidd Lovett, and one nephew; Ian Kidd. He was preceded in death by one son; Terry Allen Lovett, and one sister; Anne Lovett Kidd.

James had attended church long ago at the Immanuel Baptist Church. He was also a veteran having served in the United States Army.

At James's request, his remains will be cremated. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
