Obituary
'James Hobart Neal, age 73,was born January 6,1937 in the Cooper Hollow community of Wayne County, the son of the late Otto and Ora Stinson Neal. He departed this life Sunday morning, March 14, 2010 at his home.
On October 11, 1955 he united in marriage with Margie Ann Brown Neal who survives. To this 54 year union seven children survive; Ricky Neal of Mt. Vernon, Reed, Randy and Troy Neal, Tammy Roberts and Loretta Koger all of Monticello, and Atonya Menshouse of Vermont. His daughter Brenda Doss precedes him in death.
He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; two sisters, Maggie Smith and Jewell Rednour and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Mae Atkinson; brother, Alonzo Neal; his grandson Lucas Storm Neal and great grandson, Mikeal Ethan Neal.
He was a loving and loyal husband, loving father, terrific -Poppie- to the grandkids and a devoted brother and a friend to all. He will be long remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.
