Obituary
'James Edward Silvers, age 73 was born in June 10, 1934 in Pulaski County, the son of the late Willie Larkin and Lora Winchester Silvers. He passed away December 26, 2007 at his home on Crawford Street.
On May 3, 1957 he united in marriage with Faye Hammond Silvers who survives. To this 50 year union one son survives; Joe Edward and his wife Jo Carol Silvers.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Joseph T. Silvers and Laura A. Silvers, his sisters, Betty Jo Silvers and Linda Hicks; 25 nieces and nephews with many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
His sisters, Flora Belle Smith and Violet Silvers and brother Orville Russell Silvers precedes him in death.
James had accepted Christ as his Savior and attended the Immanuel Baptist Church.
The funeral service was held Saturday morning in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Bell and Bro. Mike Mitchell officiating, Burial in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Mountain View Baptist Camp.
