'James \u0027Jim\u0027 A. Watson was born March 23, 1945 the son of the late Sylvester and Maggie Kidd Watson and departed this life Monday, June 28th, 2016 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center reaching an age of 71 years.

Jim had accepted Christ as his Savior on January 7, 1962 and was an active member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church as long as his health permitted.

On June 8th, 1964 he united in marriage with Anna Ruth Kidd and to this 52-year union, three children were born: Connie Jo Kinnett, surviving; Jamie Dwight Watson who precedes him in death and Elizabeth Hope Vaughn, surviving, all of Monticello.

Surviving Jim are his grandchildren: Megan Ryan Massengale, Marissa Jaymee Ramsey (Davis) and Maggie Elaine Stinson. He is also preceded in death by two grandchildren: Taylor Shelby Kinnett and Madison Paige Kinnett. Jim was also blessed with great grandchildren: Alexander Watson Massengale, Noah Blaine Massengale ad Payton Taylor Paige Burns.

Also surviving Jim are his siblings: Lonnie Watson, Paula Sue Hicks, Janie Alexander, Douglas Watson, Dianne Criswell and George Watson. Jim is preceded in death by his sisters Maxine Watson and Ernestine Burnett.

Surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
