'James E. West was born December 27, 1936 and departed this life September 16, 2015 reaching the age of 78 years. He was the son of the late Fred and Anna West.

On August 7,1954 he was united in marriage to Betty West and to this union five children were born: Fred West (Patsy), Linda Chaney (Dan), Peggy Humble (Rick), Johnny West (Lorrie) and Laura Sue West who preceded him in death.

He is survived by 11 grandchildren: Holly West, Dillon West (Morgan), Jessica Phillips (Derek), Jacob Chaney (Maggie), Cheyenne Chaney, Lucas Humble (Chelsea), Lindsey Koontz (Byron), Lance Humble, Haley Humble, Natalie West and Jameson West. He is also survived by 5 great -grandchildren: Lochlan Phillips, Ethan and Camden Humble, Brayden and Harper Koontz.

Also surviving is Pearl West, step-mother and 4 sisters: Thelma Johnson, Peggy Uzzle, Connie Antle and Melissa East and 2 brothers: John West and Claude West. Preceding him in death are 2 sisters and 1 brother : Ruby Decker , Mary Alice West and Timothy West. He leaves behind a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

James was a faithful Christian man who was an active member of Worldwide Ministries church. He was a beloved husband, Dad, Grandpap, Pappy, brother and friend who was dearly loved and who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
