­­­­­­­­Jean Edwards was born September 19, 1942, and departed this walk of life Tuesday, December 16, 2025, reaching the age of 83 years. She was the daughter of the late Grady Martin and Effie (Denney) Martin.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years Sammie Edwards; Children: Allen Sexton, Pam Tucker, Krystal Edwards, Peggy Edwards and Gina Edwards; Grandchildren: Andonn Tucker and Brandon Tucker; 3 Great Grandchildren: Draven, Caleb and Brynlee Tucker; Brother: Harold Martin and 2 sisters Wilma Kelsay and Wanda Whitley. Along with a host of family and friends that mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents Grady and Effie Martin; she was preceded in death by: Brothers: Dale and Howard Martin.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 5 PM – 8 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Visitation starting again at 7 AM on Sunday, December 21, 2025, to the Funeral Hour of 11 AM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
