IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jennifer
Gay
January 9, 1936 – February 7, 2021
Jennifer Gay, age 85 was born on January 9, 1936 in the hills of Eastern Kentucky to the late Boyd and Mona
Bowling. She has only one surviving brother Kenneth (Imogene) Bowling of Buckhorn, Kentucky from a large family of sisters and brothers. Jennifer also known as "Aunt Hack" leaves behind children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jennifer loved to care for many plants and flowers indoor and outdoor but her
favorite past time was caring for "Little Bit" her beloved dog who was her faithful companion until Jennifer's life journey on this earth ended in peace at home from natural causes on Sunday, February 7, 2021. She was one of the hardest and fastest working people when health allowed her to be.
Preparing over 100 cartons of fresh picked strawberries in the summer to be placed in a huge chest freezer so they could be eatin in the winter with vanilla ice cream and fresh popped popcorn while sitting in front of the fireplace. This was good eats! It was also a memory maker along with
being taught how to make snow cream when there was lots of snow on the ground. I've been told she was a master at "bob-backs" and "marbles" by her youngest brother Elmo who was deeply adored. She taught a little girl to pray to God when something was troubling her. She will be missed for the good the Lord allowed her to do and compassionate to His children who have accepted His Son Jesus Christ as not only their Savior but Lord over their life.
Hickey Funeral Home of Monticello in charge of arrangements.
