Funeral Service
Jennifer Lynn Taylor, 48, of Monticello, Kentucky, entered the arms of Jesus on March 23, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on February 12, 1978, to Paul Edward Gadd, Jr. and Wilma Johns Gadd of Corbin, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lucas Taylor; her daughter, Brianna Brown; her husband, Alan; her sons, Ethan and Jace; and her grandsons, Rhett and Ryker Brown. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Pam and Gene Taylor; her sisters, Barbara Wombles and husband Roy, Paula Taylor and Randall Stewart; her sister-in-law Samantha Burnett and husband Kyle, along with many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, coworkers, clients, and dear friends who mourn her passing.
Jennifer worked as a behavior analyst at Brighter Futures Therapy Center, empowering individuals and making a lasting impact in her community. With a heart for others, she also worked quietly behind the scenes to share kindness and bless those in need.
Jennifer's contagious smile and vibrant personality could light up any room. Time spent with her was filled with laughter and joy, and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed the nostalgic sounds of 80's music and the quiet satisfaction of working puzzles, finding joy in both life's loudest moments and its simplest ones. She loved the thrill of rollercoasters, and her life is a testament to embracing both the highs and lows of the ride.
Jennifer lived by the belief that "nobody puts Baby in a corner" and certainly didn't let anyone put her or loved ones there. Whether she was the first on the dance floor during the cousins' cruise or cheering the loudest at ball games, she was the life of the party. She didn't just walk into a room—she entered it with vibrance, while inspiring others to find their own "dance space" in the world.
She lived in a perpetual search for her tube of Blistex; and approached life and every menu with a very specific vision. Her food orders were legendary: Taco Tico cravings, Sonic ice, perfectly shaved roast beef, very well-done steak, and always holding the sour cream on anything, especially her butter-and-cheese-only baked potatoes.
While we are heartbroken to say goodbye, we find comfort in knowing she is in Heaven having "the time of her life".
A celebration of Jennifer's life will be held at Hickeys on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00pm, with burial at Taylor Cemetery. In honor of her favorite color and pancreatic cancer awareness, attendees are encouraged to wear purple.
