Obituary
'Jess Slagle, age 86 the son of the late John and Canzada Simpson Slagle, was born July 13, 1920 in Wayne County. He departed this life, Wednesday, April 25th after a short illness at the Pickett County Medical Center in Byrdstown, Tennessee.
He is survived by two children; Helen Edwards of Monticello and Arnold Slagle of Kokomo, Indiana.
Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sisters, Evalee Daniels and Jean Kell and brother, Henry Slagle, with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Gertie Upchurch and brothers, Perk and Charles Slagle.

11AM Saturday in the Funeral Home
