'Jewelene Malone Young, age 84 was born in the Lockett-s Chapel community June 6, 1927, the daughter of the late Bradley Coleman and Madie Chriswell Malone. She departed this life Thursday afternoon, September 29th at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

She was united in marriage with Parker Randall Young who passed away January 7, 1981. To this union two children survive: Billy and his wife Connie Young and Peggy and her husband Gordon Shearer.

Also surviving is her sister; Lois Troxell and her brother; Kay T. Malone: five grandchildren; Kendra, Brett and Josh Young, Aaron Shearer and Whitney Frazier: six great grandchildren; Taylor, Kinley, Leslie, Lorin, Parker and Addison with several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

As a young lady she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Canada-s Creek Baptist Church and later became a member of the New Hope Baptist Church where she remained a faithful servant until her passing.
