Joann Burton was born April 13, 1945 in Monticello, Kentucky and departed for her heavenly home, Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at her residence in Bridgeton, Missouri reaching the age of 79 years. She was the daughter of the late J.B. (James) Hopper and Lelia (Bell) Hopper.

She is survived by her son: Dr. John L. Francis (Kimberly); grandchildren: Madelynn Hendrickson (Jacob) and Tristan Francis; great-grandchildren: Jael, Nava and Talia Hendrickson. She is also survived by her brother Billy Hopper (Vicki) and by two sister-in-laws: Carolyn Hopper and Anita Hopper.

In addition to her parents J.B. and Lelia Hopper, she was preceded in death by her husband Randall Burton; brothers: Norman Hopper and Frank Hopper; two sisters: Irene Horton and Betty Stokes and survived by a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 11 AM – 1 PM with funeral services to follow at 1 PM at First Baptist Church in Monticello, Kentucky with burial to follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
