Obituary

'Joe Bryan Corder was born in Monticello, Kentucky July 24th, 1944 the son of the late Scott Freeman and Etta Anderson Corder. He departed this life Monday, January 8th, in Indianapolis, Indiana reaching an age of 73 years.
In 1962 he was married in Monticello and moved to Indianapolis in 1963. To this marriage daughter was born; Lana Jo Corder who still survives and makes her home in Indianapolis.
Also surviving are his brothers: Gene, Scott, George and Gary Corder with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews to mourn his passing. He is preceded in death by his brother: Jack Corder.
Joe accepted Christ as his Savior as a very young man and became a lifetime member of the Rogers Grove Baptist Church.
While in Indiana he acquired his Journey-man Carpenters License and worked in the construction business for some years. He acquired further education and became a tool and die maker working for several companies. He obtained a state Mechanics License and owned and operated a car sales and repair business. He built and ran an asphalt stockcar with a partner at Indianapolis Raceway Park and other high bank tracks around Indiana. Joe has a patent recorded in the United States Patent Office for inventing a Ball Joint removal tool. He returned to Monticello where he ran the Pic-Pac Grocery Store and ran an Auction House for several years.
He was an adventurous man, with a zest for life and a big personality.
