'Joe Milton Correll, age 79, of Monticello,Ky, passed away on
Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019 in Somerset,Ky.

Joe was born in Monticello, Kentucky to Otis and Rose Stephens Correll on October 24, 1939. After enjoying a happy childhood with family and graduating as valedictorian of his high school class, he obtained his bachelor\u0027s degree at Berea College. He later graduated from the University of South Carolina with a
Master\u0027s degree in mathematics. He married Delores Jones
Correll on June 18, 1960. He retired in 2000 after working as an
engineer for 34 years for the DuPont Company.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ralph.

Joe is survived by his wife, Delores Jones Correll, children,
Douglas Correll (Lindsay) and Leigh Correll Welch, grandchildren,
Victoria Correll and Archer Welch, sister, Pauline Correll Roush
(Jack), brothers, Bruce (Ruby), Robert (Jeanne), Glenn (Betty),
Dale (Velma), and Richard, sister-in-law Janice Correll, numerous
nephews and nieces, and very special dog, Bruno.

Joe enjoyed traveling. He spent four years living in Germany
because of his job. He enjoyed wintering in Las Vegas with
Delores, singing in his younger years, Rook games with family
and golfing with family and friends.

He accepted Jesus as his savior as a child. He attended Elk
Spring Valley Baptist Church as his health allowed.

Memorials may be given to Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26, 2019, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Hickey Funeral Home.
Service - Saturday, July 27, 2019 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.',
