Obituary
'John Ray Piercy age 58, was born February 23,1949 the son of the late Taft and Rosie Denney Piercy. He passed away, Monday evening, July 16th at his home in the Elk Ridge Community
On June 8th, 1969 he united in marriage with his wife of 39 years, Suzanne Coffey Piercy. To this union three children survive; Lisa Rae and her husband Anthony Roberts, John David and his wife Pamela Piercy and Sheri Lynn Piercy and her companion Chris Roberts.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Tyler and Susan Stokes, John Matthew Piercy, Erin, James and Sarah Piercy; Sisters, Sally Brummett and Lilly Brown, brothers, Willie, Jep, Bobby and Jackie Piercy, with a host of nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and brothers, Billy and Milton Piercy
John received Christ at an early age and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. He was a retired machine operator and loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
