Obituary
'John Henry Short, age 86, was born in Harlan County, Kentucky, June 25th, 1928 the son of John and Polly Fee Short. He passed away Monday, April 27th, at the Wayne County Hospital.
On June 15th, 1950 he united in marriage with Corrine Arvin Short, who survives. To this union one son survives: James A. and his wife Brenda Short of Middletown, Ohio.
Also surviving are his grandchildren: Alicia (Steve) Figiola of Carlisle, Ohio, Gene (Brian) Huxtable of Centerville, Ohio, Matt (Wendy) Short of Wilmington, Ohio and Adam Pergram of Athens, Ohio; great grandchildren: Ashley Leach of Germantown, Ohio, David Figiola of Carlisle, Ohio and Lorin and Cooper Short of Wilmington, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers and one sister.
Mr. Short retired from General Motors in 1984. He had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a Charter Member of the Miami Shores Baptist Church in Ohio. While serving there he was ordained a Deacon. He was a faithful member of the Steubenville Baptist Church of Monticello as long as his health allowed him to serve.
