'Josephine Gregory Bates was born August 16th, 1950 in Wayne County to the late Levi and Audress Davis Gregory and passed away at her home Monday, November 11th reaching an age of sixty-nine years.
She was united in marriage to Paul Harrison Bates whom passed away January 30th, 2013.
She is survived by her son, Christopher Jones and her three step-children, Lisa and her husband Jeff Perkins, Larry and his wife Judi Bates and Obie and his wife Regina Bates and her brother, Corbin Gregory along with her grandchildren, Talon, Levi and William Jones.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Gregory.
Josephine had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the Faith United Baptist Church.',
