­­­­­­­­­­­­­Junior Peyton was born August 21, 1942, in Monticello, KY, and departed this life Friday, August 23, 2024, reaching the age of 82 years. He was the son of the late Thadeus Peyton Sr. and Ballie Coffey (Peyton).

He is survived by his loving wife: Hannelore Peyton; Sons: David Peyton and Mike Peyton (Catherine Smith); Grandchildren: Mike Peyton Jr, Raquel Peyton and Jaquelyn Peyton, along with one Great Grandchild: Jaqson Guess-Peyton

He was preceded in death by his parents Thadeous Peyton Sr. and Ballie Peyton. Brothers: Owen Peyton, George Peyton, William Peyton, Charles Peyton and Joe Peyton. And his Sister: Martha Peyton

Junior was a proud veteran, having served 30 years in the US Army.  He was also inducted into the Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame for Monticello Independant School.

He was a loving, Father, Grandfather and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from  11 AM – 1 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 1 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Kendrick Cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105
