'Katherine Louvine Buck Rector
\u0027Katy Lou\u0027 as she was know was born June 22, 1921 Wayne County, KY and passed away TUESDAY, AUGUST 23, 2011 at the age of 90 in Somerset, KY. She was the daughter of Gilbert C. Buck and Vela Beck, who preceded her in death . Her first husband was Wendell Sherman Jones, of whom she had two daughters, Nora Tomasine Jones Hickam, of Sunset Beach, NC and Janet Mae Jones Walker, who, also, preceded her in death.
Her second husband , O. M. Rector, Jr, preceded her in death.
She has many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She worked for many years for the Louisville Courier-Journal as well as the Louisville Times when it existed. She was well known in Monticello as the -Paper Girl.-
She, also, worked for the Monticello Radio Station WFLW, and before she retired she owned Ann-s Store in Monticello.
She was baptized in the Southern Baptist Church and was a faithful member of South Main Missionary Baptist Church.
