Kathryn Denney age 96 of Monticello, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 14,2021.

She was born January 28,1925 the daughter of the late Alvis Greer and Lillian VanBibber Yoakum.

She married John Charles Denney Jr., who precedes her in death.

Kathryn had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Monticello Women's Club and the Wayne Republican Women.

She is survived by one daughter; Melinda (Robert) Wixson, one sister; Freda Yoakum Byrd, one granddaughter; Sarah (Scott) Elliott, and one great grandson; Samuel Scott Elliott.

Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers; Glenn, Ralph, and Kyle Yoakum, and two sisters; Gladys Yoakum and Juanita Byrd Haygood.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 18 ^th, 2021 from 12 PM until 2 PM in the funeral home chapel.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 18 ^th , 2021 at 2 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Helton officiating.  Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the First Baptist Church or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
