Kenneth Math Jones was born on July 23, 1947, and departed this life on September 14th, 2024, in his home surrounded by his family, reaching the age of 77.  He was the son of late Homer and Beatrice Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathy (bell) Jones whom he married in January of 1970, and 3 children; Tracy (Jeff) Garrett, Anthony (Angela) Jones, Pam (Ronnie) Hancock. 6 Grandchildren; Cody (Brittany) Kidd, Haley (Zach) Stoltz, Tyler (Merritt) Jones, Keely (Tayshawn) Benford, Jazlyn Lyon, and Caden Lyon. 5 Great Grandchildren; Braylee Kidd, Maggie Kidd, Levi Kidd, Taytum Benford, and Hayden Jones. 3 Brothers; Ed (Kathy) Jones, Dennis Lee (Wilma) Jones, and Porter Jones. 3 Sisters; Rosemary (Claude) Foster, Faye (and the Late Danny) Coffey, and Sylvia (Lyle David) Bell. Along with a host of family and friends who will mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his brothers; Johnny Jones, and Donnie Jones and his sisters; Gloria Decker and Emma Jean Jones.

He was an active and valued member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church until his illness.

He devoted his life to providing for his family. He worked in the coal mines for 22 years, then he worked as a logger for 25 years, all while devoting himself to his farm. He was a hardworking, devoted, and loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, and Grandfather.

He was a strong fighter, who can now rest peacefully. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will be remembered forever. Until we meet again.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5 PM until 8 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral service will be held, Friday, September 20, 2024, at 1 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Anderson Cemetery.
