Kenneth Ray Rains of Monticello, Kentucky was born February 6 ^th ,1945 and departed this life April 25 ^th ,2023 reaching the age of 78 years. He was the son of the late Charlie and Clovie Beaty Rains and husband of the late Lucy Adams Rains.

He is survived by three daughters; Kendra (Clark) Jarnagin, Stacey (Donovan) Corder, and Kentessa (Al) Birner, one stepdaughter; Melissa Cotton, one stepson; Kevin Cotton, one sister; Letha Boils, three brothers; Eugene Rains, Earl Rains, and Donnie Rains, five grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and four step great- grandchildren.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by one sister; Lois Cross, one brother; Ben Rains, and one grandson; Evrett Birner.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 30 ^th from 1:30 until 2PM at the Gap Creek Cemetery with graveside funeral services following at 2PM. Burial will be in the Gap Creek Cemetery.
