'Larry Edison Burnette was December 7, 1950 the son of the late Wendell and Clona Ethel Gregory Burnett. He departed this life on Thursday, December 6th at his home in the Steubenville community reaching an age of 67 years.
On June 11, 1988 he united in marriage with his wife of 30 years, Mary Ethel Whitehead Burnette who survives. Surviving are his daughters, Loretta Ruth Foster and her companion Harry Grimm and Leeretta "Becky" and her husband Donnie Foster.
Also surviving are his grandchildren: Renee Stevens (Mike), Lacretia Farris (Mike), Chrissie and Cody Dennis, Austin, Dayton and Donnielle Foster; great grandchildren: Lily, Oliver, Thomas and Devin; and siblings: Frances Earl Burnett, Velma Jean Kendrick and Kenneth Kay Burnett.
He is preceded in death by his siblings: Denver Ray, Willard Roy, Robert Lee, Lyle Henderson, Velma Marie Burnett, Jimmy Burnett Smith and Dorothy Burnett Love.
Larry was retired from Oakwood after 30 years of service, and served his country with honor in the National Guard for 8 years. On July 4, 1965 he accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of the Big Springs Baptist Church.',
