'Lee Almerine Melton was born in Clinton County, March 14, 1931 the son of Jim Ray and Mary Lou Dicken Melton. He departed this life, Sunday afternoon, February 5th at the Wayne County Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was united in marriage with Nancy Miller Melton who preceded him in death by 20 day, she passed away January 16th.

Lee is survived by his children: Linda Beaty; Janet Mandaz; Jimmy; Billy and David Melton ; his siblings: Rosie Hall; Letha Pierce; Frances Alley; Ray Melton; Clarence; Johnny; Charlie; Melvin and James Brown; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He had accepted Christ as his Savior and was a faithful member of the Steubenville Baptist Church as long as his health would allow.
