'Lelia Kay Crabtree was born November 1, 1942 in Wayne County the daughter of the late Harrison and Mollie Davis Marcum. She departed this life to the next February 15, 2014 at the Wayne County Hospital surrounded by her family.

On November 16, 1961 she united in marriage with her husband of fifty-two years, Arnold Wallace Crabtree. To this union one daughter survives: Elaine and her husband Roy Corder.

Also surviving is her sister: Alice and her husband Joe Crabtree and her brother: Howard and wife Mary Marcum, with several nieces, nephews other relatives and many, many friends to mourn her passing.

She is preceded in death by her sisters: Onabell and Evalee Crabtree and Marie Chriswell and her brothers: Joe, Gene, Frank and Ike Marcum.

She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and treasured their times together. As a young lady Kay accepted Christ as her savior and was a faithful member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
