'Lester J. Bell age 78 was born, February 8th 1933 in the Bell Hill community of Wayne County, the son of the late Floyd and Voudie Spradlin Bell. He departed this life Thursday morning, December 29th in Emergency Room of the Wayne County Hospital after an extended illness.

On October 20th 1954 he united in marriage with Betty Valree Crabtree Bell who survives. To this 57 year union three children survive; his daughter: Lois and her husband Bobby Chriswell; his sons: Doug and wife Patty Bell and Ralph and his wife Bronda Turner.

Also surviving are six grandchildren: Darin (Chasidy) Chriswell; Stuart (Donyale) Chriswell; Tyler (Aubree) Chriswell; Shawn Turner; James (Karmel) Turner and Allen Turner; ten great grandchildren: Brennan; Brylee; Braylon; Ethan; Maddy; Kimberly; Gabe; Natalie; Madison and Aiden. Surviving are his sisters: Mary Lou Bertram and Sue Gregory and brothers: Ray and Mitchell Bell. He is preceded in death by an infant sister.

As a young many Lester accepted Christ as his Savior and joined the Bell Hill Baptist Church and was a member of the Missouri Hollow Baptist Church at the time of his passing.
