'Leta Francis Morrow New, age 84, was born April 12, 1927 in Wayne County and passed away April 10, 2012 at the Golden Years Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Delbert and Vadie Baker Morrow, she was one of eight siblings.
She united in marriage with Johnnie Green New on July 22, 1947, he passed away July 17, 1990. TO this union four children were born: the late Brenda Lee New who passed away April 14, 2007; surviving sons: John Richard (Darlene) New; Jerry Allen (Kista) New and Kenneth Ray (Lisa) New.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Denise (Dick) Hicks; Suzette (Dick) Whelan; Jonathan New; Erica (New) Lovett; Sarah (New) Dennis; Ashley (New) Baker; Adam New; Haley New;14 great grandchildren; her sister: Mary Alene Barnett adn brother: Lawrence Morrow.
