Lewis Ramsey was born November 5, 1929 and departed this life Thursday, December 19, 2019 at his home, reaching the age of 90 years. He was the son of (the late) Cleve and Ella (Dunagan) Ramsey.

He married Frances (Burke) Ramsey on October 8, 1949 and to this union 4 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife of 70 years, Frances Ramsey; daughter, Glenda (Johnny) Turner; sons, Terry (Deva) Ramsey, Chester (Jill) Ramsey and Tony (Sylvia) Ramsey; 8 grandchildren, Amy (Tyler) Huff, Brandy (Rod) Patton, Shana (Glenn) Rose, Mary (Brandon) Ramsey, Brooke Ramsey, Priscilla (Jarett) Turpin, Ashley (Dewayne) Hoover and Ashley (Josh) Teater; 14 Great Grandchildren, Savannah, Amelia & Kaiden Ramsey, Kelsey Patton, Kase Parrish, Lauren & Kylie Rose, Haylee & Abigail Huff, Bain & Brooks Teater, and Brayden Turpin; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother, James Ramsey; 2 sisters, Mae Ramsey and Dorothy Ramsey; 1 daughter-in-law; as well as, 3 great grandchildren.

Lewis accepted Christ as his savior as a child and was a life-long member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 5 until 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 2 pm at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Gideon Living Memorial Bible Plan.
