'Lilly Mae Koger Mitchell, age 95 was born January 21, 1914 in the Parmleysville community of Wayne County, the daughter of the late George and Florence Gregory Koger. She departed this life Monday morning, November 2, 2009 at the Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

On September 23, 1938 she united in marriage with William Luther Mitchell who passed away January 18th, 2000. To this 61 year union two daughters survive; Judy and her husband Coy Dunnington of Somerset and Peggy and her husband Don Lankford of Ft. Myers, Florida. Her daughter Sue Taylor precedes her in death.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Gene Gregory, Allison Murray, Mitchell Taylor, Carol Helton and Ashley Lintott; a step granddaughter, Michelle Fleig; great grandchildren, Austin, Haden, Aaron, Jared, Sarah, Noah and Aidan and her sister, Venus Griffin, with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends

She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kathy, great grandson, Shea and brother, Herbert Koger.

Mrs. Mitchell had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and was a member of the Monticello First Baptist Church at the time of her passing.
