Linda Tate was born July 8, 1943, and departed this life Tuesday, February 13, 2024, reaching the age of 80 years. She was the daughter of (the late) James and Elizabeth (Shelton) Caylor.

She is survived by 2 sons, Jim (wife Emily) Tate, and John Tate; 4 grandchildren, Sam Tate, Weezie Tate, Elizabeth Tate, and Summer Tate; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Allan Tate, Jr.

Linda was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana and later at the Tuttle's Chapel United Methodist Church in Monticello.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 1 PM – 2PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 2 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
