Obituary
'Lisle Vickery Roberts age 96 was born in the Oil Valley Community of Wayne County, December 21, 1911 the son of the late Rhodes Rankin and Verona Clementine Vickery Roberts. He departed this life Friday, June 13th at his home after an extended illness.
He was united in marriage with Ruth hale Roberts who precedes him in death. To this union three children survive; Howard Roberts of Los Altos, CA, Rona Roberts of Lexington and Jonathan Roberts of Monticello. His daughter Paula Abbott precedes him in death.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Joyce Roberts Logan of Ohio.
His brothers, Hobart, Ottis, Mack, Harry and Kermit precedes him in death.
Lisle was a retired school teacher with the Wayne County School System. As a young man he accepted Christ as his Savior and was a lifelong member of the Elk Spring Valley Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School.

Sunday from 5 top 9 at the Funeral Home and 9 to 11 AM Monday at the church
