'Lizzie Elva Piercy Morgan, age 87, was born in the Hidalgo community of Wayne County, March 18th, 1920, the was the daughter of the late Cuba and Ethel Morgan Piercy. She departed this life, Wednesday afternoon, November 21st at the Wayne County Hospital after and extended illness.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Morgan who passed away May 12, 1990. to this union two daughter survive; Lois Bertram and Ruth Upchurch both of Monticello. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; her sister Nina Bell and brothers, Otto and Robert Piercy.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Maude Morgan, Hamia Slaven and Beulah Piercy and brothers, Larry, Lyle and Andy Piercy.

Mrs. Morgan had accepted Christ as her savior as a young lady and was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
