'Lloyd Denver Burnett, age 83 the was born March 7th, 1925 in the Parmleysville community of Wayne County, the son of the late Wesley and Dora Bell Burnett. He departed this life, Saturday evening, June 7th, at the Wayne County Hospital after an extended illness.

On April 11th, 1947 he united in marriage with Jewell Burnett, who passed away December 27, 1996. To this 49 year union three sons were born; Eugene Burnett and Carter Burnett both of Wayne County and Bro. Hoyt Burnett who precedes him in death.

Also surviving are six grandchildren; four great grandchildren with a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

He was the last survivor of the Wesley Burnett family with his sisters Lela and Beulah Burnett preceding him in death.

Lloyd and accepted Christ as a young many and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church where he served as Deacon for many years.
