'Lola Cox Matthews was born January 22, 1928 in Harlan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Laura Farley and Sid Robinson. She passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in Crossville, Tennessee.
She was united in marriage with Dr. Lyle Matthews who passed away July 21, 1978. To this union three daughters survive: Debbie Anderson, Sandy Anderson and Lyla and husband John Skinner.
Also surviving are grandchildren: Eli Matthews, Philip Anderson, Todd, Ryan and Jarrod Bertram, Cortney Keith, Cassie Anderson, Dara, Wesley and David Smith and Landon Barlow and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Lola was preceded in death by her brothers: Dr. Earl Stapleton and Delbert Cox.
She was a retired school teacher with the Wayne County School System. She had accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and had been a member of the Monticello First Baptist Church since 1956 where she remained faithful as long as her health allowed.',
