­­­­­­­­­­Lorene Padgett was born June 26, 1953, and departed this life Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at her home, reaching the age of 71 years. She was the of the daughter of the late Wendall Young and Murl (McGuire) Young.

She is survived by her husband- Freeman Padgett; Son- Adam Padgett (Angie); 3 Grandchildren- Zachary, Samantha and Alexis Padgett; 2 Brothers- Kay and Roger along with 3 sisters- Barbara, Nancy and June. Along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents Wendall and Murl Young, she was preceded in death one son Jonathan Scott Padgett; one brother, Junior and one sister, Shirley.

She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM –  2:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Church of God Cemetery.
