Lorene Sexton was born January 31, 1926 and departed this life Friday, August 7, 2020 reaching the age of 94 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Stoney and Mazie (Doss) Criswell.

She married Charlie Ray Sexton and to this union 2 children were born.

She is survived by: 1 son, Mike Sexton; 1 daughter, Anita Corder; 1 brother, Lester Criswell; 2 sisters, Helen Hurst and Annabelle Muse; 1 granddaughter, Alecia Corder; and 2 great grandchildren, Ella and Charlie Stevens; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Charlie Ray Sexton; 1 brother, Barton Criswell; 4 sisters, Imogene Norris, Lucille Daniel, Francis Knott, and Stella Ruth Smith; 1 granddaughter, Michelle Corder Stevens; and 1 son-in-law, Don Corder.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2020 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 11 at 10 am at the Hickey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
