Obituary
'Lyle Dolen Chriswell, age 90 was born in the Rocky Branch community of Wayne County, May 29th, 1925 the son of the late Arlie Lester and Georgia Dolen Chriswell. He departed this life Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Veteran Hospital in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Thompson Chriswell; children: Larry Douglas Chriswell, Ronnie Lee Chriswell, Steven Dolen Chriswell and Jillisa Chriswell Vachelle; step-children: Curtis Ray Thompson and Kathy Thomas and siblings: Joyce Stephens, Barbara Howard and Roger Chriswell. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Oleva Mae Chriswell; children: Boyce Ray Dick, Anthony Dale Chriswell, Pamela Sue Chriswell, Janet Carol Hardy; sisters: Pauline Smith and Lorene Chriswell, his great grandchild and a great-great grandchild.
Lyle served his country with honor in the Marines during the Second World War and served his Lord as a member of the Rogers Grove Baptist Church.
