Lynn Perdue Humble

(1946 – 2022)

Lynn Humble, 75 passed away peacefully January 20,2022 at the Metcalfe Healthcare Center in Edmonton, Ky.

Lynn was born November 5,1946 in Monticello, Kentucky to parents Lewis Duncan Humble and Pauline Perdue Humble.

As a student at Monticello High School (Class of 1964), Lynn was known for her sense of humor, wit, friendly personality, and athleticism. She was also voted "Miss Junior". Upon graduation, Lynn attended Eastern Kentucky University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in education in 1968.

Loving all genres of music, Lynn had a special appreciation for Elvis and The Beatles, and never missed a beat dancing to the sounds of Motown. She also loved the poetic lyrics of a song that told a story.

While Lynn was ill most of her adult life, she always lifted the spirits of others with her virtues of kindness, compassion, and gratitude. Her "Grandma Betty" and "Grandma Perdue" were especially blessed by Lynn's presence during their declining years. Lynn was also a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church.

Those who survive Lynn are her devoted sister Michelle (Walter) Goedeke of Lexington, Ky. Also left to cherish her memory are cousins; Gayle Casada Gamboa, John C. (Virginia) Shearer, Robin Shearer (David) Neal, and Martin (Jill) Shearer. Her cousin Jim Casada preceded her in passing.

Lynn's family is grateful for her friends who visited or sent cards throughout the years and for all who assisted in Lynn's care and comfort.

Private graveside services and interment were held at Elk Spring Cemetery in Monticello, Ky.
