'Lynn Ray Buckley, son of Willie Seymour Buckley, and Ottis Ross Buckley of Palmersville, Weakley County, TN, was born October 7, 1933. He graduated from Palmersville High School in 1951, joined the US Navy and after service he went to the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago, IL.
In June 1957, he married Patricia Edwards of Chicago, IL and a son was born, Steven Ray Buckley on July 23, 1958. He graduated in December 1958 and moved back to Tennessee where he started a Chiropractic practice in Fulton, KY.
He learned of an opening for a Chiropractor in Monticello, KY and moved his family to Monticello October 1959 where he established a successful chiropractic business in Monticello.
In 1974, he and Patricia divorced.
In November 1977, he met Betty Boston Birchell who had recently moved back to Wayne County with her three children, Brian, Brent, and Marta Birchell.
At the stroke of midnight on January 1, 1990 Lynn and Betty married and have lived a very contented life together for 29 years until April 29, 2019 when Lynn fell while push mowing the yard and broke his right hip. He was taken to St.Joseph East hospital and had successful hip surgery. The surgery was successful but after 6 days something happened with his heart \u0026 lungs and he was rushed to Intensive care for the next 20 days. He chose to be moved to Wayne County Hospital Hospice Unit on May 23 and passed away on Sat. May 25.
He is survived by his wife, Betty his children, Pamela Roberson (Gary), Kathy Catron, ( Kenny) , Sandra Gregory, (Kevin), and Dr. Christopher Buckley, step- children Brian Birchell, (Ronda), Brent Birchell, (Delisa) and Marta Woosley, (Jeffrey).
Also surviving are grandchildren Dr. Kendra Catron-Wash,(David), Bradley Buckley,(Lindsey}, Amber Myers,(Jason}, Kendall Catron, (Tiffany}, Tyler \u0026 Austin Roberson, Jessica Stearns \u0026 Corey Stearns and 8 great grandchildren. He is survived by 2 sisters Emma Sue Stow of Louisville, Ky and Norma Faye Tapley of Hampton, Ga. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Steven, his 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Dr Buckley, practiced chiropractic for 54 years in Monticello before his retirement in October 2013 at the age of 80. He served five terms as Monticello City Council and 18 years on the Monticello Electric Plant Board.
He was a very wise and compassionate man who will be missed by many friends and relatives.',
