Margaret Lee Molen York of Monticello, Kentucky was born December 12, 1925 and departed this life February 13, 2022, reaching the age of 96 years. She was the daughter of the late Herstel Tate and Maggie Lee Lovell Molen and the wife of the late John Thomas (Tommy) York.
She is survived by three daughters; Betty Kimbler, Thomasine (Emerson) Dick, Fredia (Ed) Norris, one son; John David (Carolyn) York, one sister; Marilyn Ann Helton, nine grandchildren; Laura Kimbler Harris, Michael Kimbler, Jonathan Dick, Matthew Dick, Ashlee York Gagliano, Adam York, Jeremy Norris, Danielle Norris Sage, Brittany Norris, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one brother-in-law; Bobby (Katy) York, along with a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson; Daniel Kimbler, and three brothers; Fred Norman Molen, Ray Samuel Molen, and Earl Howard Molen.
Margaret had accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago and was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 16 th from 10AM until 11AM in the funeral home chapel with funeral services following at 11AM. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Mountain View Baptist Camp.
