'Bernice Marie Gregory Bertram, age 86 was born November 16, 1921 the daughter of the late Johnny and Effie Young Gregory. She departed this life December 12th, 2007 at the Baypoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She was united in marriage with Carl Bertram who passed away in 1991. To this union two daughter survive; Barbara Bertram of Virginia Beach, Va and Shirley Fus of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Three children precede her in death, Norma Jean Ledger, Mary Lee and Carlene Gregory.

Also surviving are two grandchildren, Rebecca Fus and Tim Fus both of Florida, three great-grandchildren and her brother, Ernest -Sam- Gregory of Monticello.

She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Hubert, Buna, Herschel, Sterlie and Paul Gregory.

Mrs. Bertram was a member of the Jolly 60-s of Cincinnati, Ohio, the Echo Senior Choir and London Bridge Baptist Church of Virginia Beach, VA.

The funeral service was held Friday, December 21st in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wally Fus officiating. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
